Hiring

Each Team Member has two pay rates: between $27 and $32 an hour for state work, and $12 an hour for non-state work. Our members average $25,000 to $32,000 a year depending on how much they choose to work.

Hours are Monday through Friday with some Saturdays. Sundays and Holidays off. Overtime available with extended hours in the Fall and Spring. We are closed during inclement weather.

CSF is a family owned company and we believe in treating our people the way we would want to be treated. For that reason, management works the same jobs and in the same uniform shirts as Team Members. We treat our people with respect, because all of us here at CSF are our people.

• Common sense. You don’t have to have any school degrees, just common sense.
• No experience is necessary, but you must be willing to learn about farms, tractors, and sod installation.  
• Must be able to lift 50lbs when the job calls for it.
• Must be able to work outdoors for extended hours.
• Must work well with others.  
• Must be dependable. Sometimes you’ll need to miss work and we understand that, but if you call in every week, this job isn’t for you.
• A sense of humor is a plus. This job can be hard and humor helps with stress.
• Must have money management skills. When you work, you’ll get paid the following week, but pay rates vary. If you can manage your money, it’s a great job.  
• Must have a current driver’s license and be able to drive company vehicles if asked.
